Although celebrities and the liberal elite are not known for their support of the Second Amendment, some women in the entertainment, music, and media industries have earned the "girls with guns" label. These well-armed women are not afraid of firearms and many of them take pride in being able to use their guns for self-defense if needed.

Here are eight celebrity women who exercise their Second Amendment Rights:

1. Angelina Jolie: Oscar-winning actor Jolie not only plays gun-toting protagonist roles in many of her films, she also practices her firearm skills at home. According to USA Carry, "Jolie claims that she fell in love with the guns she used in the 'Tomb Raider' movies, and since then has purchased nearly every gun she has used in her films . . . [Jolie and ex Brad Pitt even] built a massive private shooting range in the backyard of their home."

2. Miranda Lambert: Country singer Lambert has been quoted in the media as saying, "I carry a weapon. I got a death threat a few years ago and was really scared. But I don't want bodyguards. I am my own security."

3. S.E. Cupp: Political pundit and television host, Cupp has been very vocal about her support of the Second Amendment. According to Cupp, "When the President of the United States promises he's not coming after your hunting rifle or self-defense handgun, but legislators propose assault weapons bans on guns that could include your hunting rifle and self-defense handgun, it matters," reports CNN.

4. Jennifer Lawrence: Current "it girl" actor, Lawrence plays a strong female protagonist in many of her films. Asked years ago by Rolling Stone about her plans for the future, Lawrence said she was thinking about buying a house, a big dog, and a shotgun.

5. Amber Heard: The American actor and model says she is pro-gun but would like to see some reforms. "I'm a good shot and I love guns. I own several. I'm fully trained and I'm an active member of a gun club. I'm definitely pro-gun," reports Celebuzz.

6. Whoopi Goldberg: In what may seem completely counterintuitive, uber liberal celebrity Goldberg is actually a member of the National Rifle Association. Whoopi says that while she is a gun owner, "As a responsible gun owner, I don't have any problem with you checking my background. I got no problem — check whatever you need to check to make everybody else feel comfortable. And I'm OK with that," reports The Blaze.

7. Demi Moore: Actor Moore exercises her Second Amendment rights along with her exes Bruce Willis and Ashton Kutcher. She once got her daughter a cake with a frosting gun decoration on the front and the caption "Band Bang!" reports People magazine.

8. Sarah Palin: Former governor of Alaska, 2008 Republican vice presidential candidate, and media pundit, Palin is very vocal about her support of the Second Amendment. In reference to the Obama administration, Palin said at a National Rifle Association convention in 2014, "If you control oil, you control an economy. If you control money, you control commerce. But if you control arms, you control the people, and that is what they're trying to do," reports Newsmax.
