Alaska does not require a permit to purchase, own or carry a gun. Furthermore, they nave no restrictions on the use of assault weapons. Alaska has "stand your ground" laws which permit a person to use deadly force against anyone unlawfully entering their home and attempting to harm them.
Florida, sometimes referred to as the Gunshine State, does not require a permit to purchase or own a gun; however, you are required to have a permit to carry a firearm. There are no state restrictions on assault weapons, and Florida is a "stand your ground" state, which allows someone to use deadly force against anyone who forcibly and unlawfully enters their home.
Though Idaho laws do not require a permit or registration to purchase, own or to carry a gun in the open, residents who wish to carry concealed weapon must obtain a permit. There are no restrictions on assault weapons, and Idaho’s "castle doctrine" laws allow for residents to use deadly force against intruders if they believe they are in imminent danger.
Considered a “shall issue” state, Kentucky gun laws state that you do not need a permit to purchase or own a gun, but you are required to have a permit to carry a concealed handgun. Kentucky also has "stand your ground" laws, which permit you to use deadly force against someone who you feel may be attempting to harm you.
In New Mexico, you are not required to have a permit or registration to buy, own or carry a gun openly; however, residents who wish to carry a concealed weapon must apply for a permit. There are no restrictions on the use of assault weapons.
