The qualifying round for the Indy 500 starts Sunday, May 22, where 33 cars will compete for the top 24 spots in a competition called ‘Pole Day.’
 
Following Sunday’s Pole Day comes Monday’s ‘Bump Day’ when the final nine racers will be decided.
 
The Indy 500 Mile Race will take place Monday, May 30.
