American Magazines and Newspapers (1952)
According to the Marilyn Monroe Collection, the Detroit Free Press gave Monroe the New Faces Award in 1952. That same year, Look Magazine, honored Monroe with the Look Magazine Achievement Award for Most Promising Female Newcomer.
Golden Globes, More Magazine Honors (1953)
Photoplay Magazine recognized Monroe as the Fastest Rising Star of 1952, while Redbook Magazine gave her an award for the Best Young Box Office Personality. One of the most exciting awards Monroe received that year was the Golden Globe Award for Female World Film Favorite.
British Academy of Film and Television (1956)
After taking a year to study acting, the British Academy of Film and Television Awards (BAFTA) for the first time nominated Monroe for Best Foreign Actress for her role in "The Seven Year Itch."

Donatello Prize, 2nd BAFTA Nomination (1958)
Monroe received the David di Donatello Prize, which is the Italian equivalent to the Oscar, as Best Foreign Actress for “The Prince and the Showgirl.” She also received her second and final BAFTA nomination for Best Foreign Actress for “The Prince and the Showgirl.”
More Golden Globe Honors (1960 and 1962)
Although she may have made working with her almost impossible in the movie “Some Like It Hot,” Monroe was honored with a Golden Globe Award in 1960 for
Best Actress in a Comedy for her role in the film, the New York Times says. Monroe also received the Golden Globe Award for Female World Film Favorite two years later.
American Film Institute (1998)
Monroe's “Some Like it Hot,” and “All About Eve,” were No. 14 and No. 16, respectively, on the 1998 list of America’s Greatest 100 Movies by the American Film Institute.
