The 2024 Toyota Tacoma TRD Sport is redesigned for 2024. This is a big deal as this is a very poplar truck. It has a new turbocharged four-cylinder engine lineup; the previous truck had a V6 engine, which is discontinued.
For 2024, it's more comfortable, with a modernized interior. The Toyota Tacoma is one of the most beloved mid-size pickups ever created. Toyota gives us an improved truck in nearly every way, the modernized Tacoma can compete with — and even beat — its rivals. We have reviewed all the competition.
The TRD Sport-trimmed Tacomas are highly configurable and come equipped with either a turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine that produces a claimed 278 hp and 317 lb-ft of torque or the optional i-Force Max hybrid with 326 hp and 465 lb-ft.
It's one of the few trims that not only offers an eight-speed automatic but also a six-speed manual, and you can spec either 2WD or 4WD. Toyota does make one restriction: This one's available only as a Double Cab (crew cab).
