Donald Trump "would win in a 50-state landslide" if only people whose grandparents were born in the United States voted, according to Ann Coulter.

Incidentally, Trump's paternal grandparents were born in Germany, while his maternal grandparents were of Scottish heritage, according to The Hill, while his own children's maternal grandparents were all born overseas.

The Washington Post quickly accused Coulter of only wanting "white people to vote," and noted that the historical "grandfather clause" was used in 19th century Louisiana to deny blacks the right to vote.
