Donald Trump took shots at Hillary Clinton and the Obama administration in an email from his campaign Monday, using one of his books to slam them on the Iran deal.

The email's title is "Art Of The Deal: Clinton Helps Fund the Number One State Sponsor of Terrorism," a play on Trump's "Art of the Deal" book, first published in 1987.

The message calls out Clinton for her work on the Iran nuclear deal during its early negotiations, which led to the U.S. sending the country $400 million earlier this year

Using quotes from Clinton herself, Trump makes the case that Clinton played a direct role in helping Iran's state-sponsored terrorism via the large payout.

"I'm very proud of the Iran Nuclear Agreement," the email quotes Clinton as saying in January. "I was very pleased to be part of what the president put into action when he took office.

"It brought them to the negotiating table which resulted in this agreement."

After framing the argument that Clinton was a key player in the deal, the email includes quotes from the State Department, director of National Intelligence James Clapper, and other sources that paint a bad picture of Iran.

"Iran — the foremost state sponsor of terrorism — continues to exert its influence in regional crises in the Middle East through the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps — Qods Force (IRGC-QF), its terrorist partner Lebanese Hizballah, and proxy groups," the email quotes Clapper as saying in February.

The note refers to Quds as Qods and Hezballah as Hizballah, common alternate spellings of Iran's Revolutionary Guards' special forces unit, and the terror group and political party.

"It also provides military and economic aid to its allies in the region. Iran and Hizballah remain a continuing terrorist threat to U.S. interests and partners worldwide."

The email uses a quote from the Department of State's 2016 Annual Country Report on Terrorism, which reads, in part, "Iran has provided hundreds of millions of dollars in support of Hizballah in Lebanon and has trained thousands of its fighters at camps in Iran. These trained fighters have used these skills in direct support of the Assad regime in Syria and, to a lesser extent, in support of operations against ISIL in Iraq."

The email was sent on the same day Trump gave a national security speech in Youngstown, Ohio, during which he proposed the creation of a "Commission on Radical Islam" to help identify and stop terrorists before they can strike.
