President Barack Obama will star in TV commercials supporting Hillary Clinton and other Democratic candidates beginning next week.
The president "will feature more prominently in some of the advertising efforts of Secretary Clinton and other Democrats across the country" as the campaign during the five weeks of the campaign," White House press secretary Josh Earnest said, according to The Hill.
The upcoming ad blitz comes as Obama plans to actively campaign for Clinton one to two days per week at rallies, fundraisers and through media interviews and social media, The Hill says.
Obama, interviewed Tuesday by TV personalities Ryan Seacrest and Steve Harvey, weighed in on the first presidential debate, praising Clinton while ripping Republican Donald Trump.
"I've got a strong opinion that there's only one candidate in this race, Hillary Clinton, who is actually qualified to do the job," Obama told Seacrest.
