A super PAC backing Ben Carson says he's holding "the winning hand in this political poker game" and needs to be on the GOP White House ticket — even as a vice presidential nominee — to win minority voters.

CNN reveals an email from 2016 Committee's national chairman, John Philip Sousa IV, to supporters warns that leaving Carson off the ticket means "The Democrats will win the White House and the America we love will disappear."

"[Donald] Trump, [Sens. Marco] Rubio and [Ted] Cruz are all destined to lose in 2016 because without Ben Carson on the ticket, they will lose the African-American vote," he writes, CNN reports.

"He may not win the GOP nomination, but he still holds the winning hand in this political poker game," Sousa writes. "If Ben Carson is on the ticket, either as president or as vice president, we can win the White House by winning upwards of 25 percent of the black vote and 35 percent of the Hispanic vote."

Carson has four delegates in the Republican presidential primary compared with Trump's 82, CNN reports, and in national polling is averaging 7.5 percent support
