Ben Carson finished in the bottom three candidates in South Carolina's Republican presidential primary on Saturday, but vowed he is not dropping out, Fox News Channel reported.
Instead, Carson told supporters in Greenville, South Carolina, his campaign was just beginning to take the power back from the political class and give it to the people.
"We still have the ability to save it [power] for the next generation. We can do it," Carson said. "If we continue down the same path that we have been going, that will never happen."
Washington Times columnist Charles Hurt noted of Fox coverage that former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush reportedly doesn't even have a television turned on in his hotel room while Carson is telling supporters he is just getting started. The third of the lowest-three finishers, Ohio Gov. John Kasich, also has indicated he won't yet quit the race.
"People are not thinking clearly right now," Hurt said.
