Donald Trump is a "dirty old man," Weekly Standard editor Bill Kristol, a strident critic of the GOP nominee, declared Friday in the wake of a bombshell report about 2005 lewd hot-mic remarks disparaging women.

Kristol lobbed the charge during a panel discussion on CNN's "The Lead," Politico reported.

"I think you could easily kind of sweep them under the rug and he could, well, say that was my past, that was my youth and I was a playboy," USA Today columnist Kirsten Powers said, referring to past reports. "But at this point he's not. At this point, this is later in his life, and I think that that makes it, you know, even worse."

Kristol then added: "He's a dirty old man. Really."

The conservative writer later took to Twitter to rip the remarks — and suggest it's not too late to dump the GOP nominee.
