Publisher Henry Holt is staying in business with Bill O'Reilly after the Fox News host was fired on Wednesday in the wake of mounting sexual harassment allegations leveled against him.
"Our plans have not changed," said Patricia Eisemann, Holt publicity director, when asked if it would still publish an O'Reilly book that is set for release in September, according to USA Today.
O'Reilly, in addition to being host of "The O'Reilly Factor," is an author. His latest conservative political commentary book, "Old School: Life in the Sane Lane" sold more than 67,000 copies in its first week and has currently sold 109,000 copies, according to Publishers Weekly.
He also publishes history books with co-author Martin Dugard. His "Killing" series, which includes "Killing Kennedy," has about 15.5 million copies in print. The latest in that series, "Killing the Rising Sun," which depicts the story of dropping atomic bombs on Japan in 1945, was the number one adult nonfiction book of 2016, according to Publishers Weekly.
The National Geographic channel is still working on a TV movie of O'Reilly's book "Killing Patton," Variety reports.
"We're focused on 2018 right now. We're not making any decisions today," a network spokesperson said, noting that the "Killing Patton" movie is set for 2019.
The channel has made four previous movies based on O'Reilly's books: "Killing Reagan," "Killing Lincoln," "Killing Jesus," and "Killing Kennedy."
