Obama Reluctant to Label Boston Bombings Terrorism

President Barack Obama conspicuously avoided using the word “terror’’ in his address to the nation about the deadly bombings at the Boston Marathon.

“We still do not know who did this or why. And people shouldn’t jump to conclusions before we have all the facts. But make no mistake — we will get to the bottom of this,’’ the president said.

The commander-in-chief’s reluctance to utter the buzzword being used across the United States shows he is being extra cautious as the FBI hunts for suspects.

However, according to CNN, federal investigators have classified the multiple explosions as a terror event — although whether it was launched domestically or from a foreign source is not known.
