It'll be years before he can vote — but Weston Imer hasn't let that stop him from trying to get Donald Trump elected president.

Weston is 12-years-old and serves as the co-chair of the GOP presidential nominee's campaign in Jefferson County, Colorado.

"I know what I'm doing. I've been in politics since I was very young. I'm good friends with all of the candidates here in Colorado. I'm friends with pretty much everyone in the whole darn county and state," Imer told The Guardian.

"It's a once in a lifetime experience to be able to run a campaign at this young of an age, because we'll never be at this age again."

The blond-haired youth, who is also founder of Colorado Kids for Trump, has taken his fair share of abuse over his support for Trump.

"Even before I was the co-chair, kids were bullying me. Especially the Ted Cruz supporters and their parents," Weston told The Guardian.

"I've also had kids say that they're leaving the country if [Trump] gets elected … I told them that they were overreacting, and that their parents were as well."
