David Duke — the former Ku Klux Klan chief who lost his bid for the Louisiana Senate on Tuesday — is crediting his supporters with getting Donald Trump elected president.

In a breathless tweet, Former Grand Wizard of the KKK, credited "our people" with the Republican presidential nominee's shock victory:

And continued by praising Trump, ripping the media, trashing MSNBC's Rachel Maddow and posting an inflammatory picture of people holding Confederate flags with a sign, "Southern Lives Matter."

In addition, Duke praised WikiLeaks' Julian Assange for releasing hacked emails damaging to the Clinton campaign and the Democratic Party.

And he taunted Hollywood liberals who promised to flee the United States if the billionaire real-estate tycoon won the White House:

As well, he took a shot at losing Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton:

It's likely that Duke's praise will be completely ignored by Trump, who's previously disavowed the white nationalist. Last week, Trump's son Eric said Duke "deserves a bullet."
