Donald Trump lashed out at Nebraska Sen. Ben Sasse Friday after he told Fox News that he was stumping for other Republican presidential candidates in Iowa and not the front-runner because Trump is against the U.S. Constitution — likening him to President Barack Obama.

Wearing a shirt supporting the University of Nebraska Cornhuskers' football team, Sasse told Fox's
Greta Van Susteren that he was campaigning for Trump rivals Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio and Carly Fiorina in the Hawkeye State, which holds its caucuses on Monday.
Sasse — elected to the Senate in 2010, the same year as Cruz — said that he was not endorsing a particular candidate because "the Republican Party is incredibly blessed to have several pro-Constitutional candidates.
"President Obama has run roughshod over the Constitution. President Obama has done things that no president has ever really effectively done."
When asked specifically about Trump, Sasse said: "I love the Constitution. Being pro-Constitution makes me anti-Mr. Trump. I think that's Mr. Trump's issue."
He explained that Trump says that "if I am elected president, I can do whatever I want.
"Mr. Trump is doing a good service in one way because he is diagnosing a lot that is really broken in this country. Washington is a broken place that is not focused on the most important, most urgent issues.
"He called that bluntly," Sasse said. "There is a big difference at being good at diagnosis and being clear what you are for.
"I don't think his supporters know what he is for," the senator said, referring to Trump. "Many of them want to know more.
"They deserve better."
