Donald Trump Tuesday threatened to "spill the beans" about Ted Cruz's wife after an anti-Trump super PAC released ads in Utah featuring a nude picture of the front-runner's wife from a British GQ magazine spread from her modeling days.
Trump said on Twitter:
But the ads were released by Make America Awesome, a group founded by Republican strategist Liz Mair that is not affiliated with the Cruz campaign, and the picture comes from a 2000 spread,
Vox reports.
The ads sought to increase turnout among members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints for Utah's primary on Tuesday, according to Vox.
Not long after Trump released the tweet, however, Mair responded with her own post:
