Three of President Donald Trump’s family members met with GOP leaders Thursday to discuss the party’s strategy as concerns over the Russia investigation continue to pile up, reported the Washington Post.

Eric Trump, his wife Lara, and Donald Trump Jr. spoke with Republican leaders for about two hours at the Republican National Committee's Headquarters in Washington, D.C. They expressed frustration with the number of controversies surrounding the president and asked how the RNC could help reignite his base ahead of the 2018 midterm elections and 2020 presidential race.

The three volunteered for Trump's presidential campaign. When Trump took office, he handed control of his businesses to his sons. They now run the Trump Organization and manage its properties and projects. Lara works as a political operative, according to the Post.

RNC members at the meeting included chairwoman Ronna Romney McDaniel and chief of staff Sara Armstrong. Former Trump campaign digital strategist Brad Parscale, Trump campaign committee director Michael Glassner, and former White House deputy chief of staff Katie Walsh also attended.
