Fox Exit Poll: Voters Angry With Fed Gov't Picked Cruz

Wisconsin Republicans angry with the federal government voted mostly for Texas Sen. Ted Cruz – not presidential front-runner Donald Trump, according to a Fox New exit poll.

Here are the results:
  • Ted Cruz: 48 percent
  • Donald Trump 37 percent
  • John Kasich: 37 percent

Badger State Republicans were evenly split on whether they preferred a candidate with political experience (46 percent) or someone who is an outsider (48 percent.)

Cruz took the majority of those who wanted someone with experience, according to Fox News Channel's Martha McCallum.

On the Democratic site, front-runner Hillary Clinton won the majority of black voters, 73 percent, to Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders' 27 percent.

But Sanders won among late deciders:

  • Sanders: 53 percent
  • Clinton: 46 percent
Decided in last week:
  • Sanders: 57 percent
  • Clinton: 42 percent
