Former President George W. Bush praised Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia Saturday as "an important jurist" and "an important judge on the nation's highest court."
"Laura and I mourn the death of an important jurist," Bush said in statement reported by Fox News. "He was a towering figure and an important judge on the nation's highest court.
"He brought intellect, good judgment and wit to the bench and will be missed by colleagues," Bush said. "Laura and I send our condolences to the entire Scalia family."
