Conservative radio host and commentator Glenn Beck will be on the stump with GOP presidential contender Sen. Ted Cruz over the weekend in Iowa with less than two weeks before caucuses in the important early voting state.
The Cruz-supporting Keep the Promise super PAC is organizing the events where Beck will accompany Cruz in Ankeny and Waterloo, the
Des Moines Register reports.
Cruz will hold seven events total in Iowa, according to the Register.
In a
Facebook post, Beck had announced he'd be introducing Cruz at a pair of rallies Saturday and "lend my support help defend the constitution, a small government crusader and a authentic conservative Christian candidate."
Cruz and rival Donald Trump are locked in a battle for support in the state, and the rallies with Beck follow Trump's endorsement by conservative former
Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin on Tuesday night.
