Republican presidential candidates on Tuesday weren't buying President Barack Obama's State of the Union argument that the economy is good for working and middle class families.

"Anyone claiming that America’s economy is in decline is peddling fiction," Obama said, saying the United States is in its longest streak of private job sector growth in history.

Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush said America can do better.

Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckebee faulted Democratic policies for trapping people in a cycle of poverty.

Ohio Gov. John Kasich said that no matter how good the U.S. economy is, his state's is even better, hinting he'd bring the American economy up even more.
