Ohio Gov. John Kasich played spoiler in Virginia, keeping Florida Sen. Marco Rubio from getting a win there on Tuesday, two Fox News analysts said.
Chris Stirewalt and Charles Krauthammer both suggested Kasich took voter from Rubio, handing the state instead to front-runner Donald Trump. Rubio was looking for a win in at least one Super Tuesday state.
Krauthammer went as far as to compare Kasich to Green Party candidate Ralph Nader, who many believe cost Democrat Al Gore the presidency in 2000 since the vote was so close in Florida.
"That could be the Kasich Effect here in Virginia for Rubio," Krauthammer said.
Early figures showed Rubio losing by only 5 percent of the vote, while Kasich got 9 percent of the vote.
