Republican presidential candidate Marco Rubio held four "town halls" over two days in South Carolina — but he didn't take a single question from voters.
The events were held Tuesday and Wednesday,
Politico reports.
The Florida senator delivered stump speeches that lasted about 40 minutes, and he mingled and took pictures with audience members afterward.
He took questions from reporters on Wednesday, however.
Rubio campaign officials told Politico that the "town halls" were changed to rallies in an effort to limit the possibility of any embarrassing moments occurring as Republican voters head to the polls on Saturday.
South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley endorsed Rubio Wednesday, saying that "if we elect Marco Rubio, every day will be a great day in America."
