Showing her dominance over Donald Trump in the presidential race, Hillary Clinton is seen inching towards victory, The New York Times' Upshot elections model revealed.

While Clinton has an 87 percent chance of winning the November elections, Trump is down 13 percent. This has been the best Clinton has fared since the analysis commenced in June.

According to last week's analysis, only 18 percent said Trump had chances of winning the presidential race, while Clinton's chance of making it to the White House was 82 percent. In July, Trump's chance of winning was almost 30 percent while Clinton's was near 70 percent.

In most battleground states, Clinton is leading with 60 to 70 percent chances of winning the race. Pennsylvania tops the chart with a massive 93 percent of votes. Trump, meanwhile, is leading in Texas and Alaska with 98 percent and in South Carolina with 95 percent.

The latest national polling average also revealed Clinton was ahead of Trump with 45 percent to 40 percent.
