The National Rifle Association tweeted throughout President Barack Obama's town hall meeting on guns Thursday, using the posts to slam the president's position and debunk his contentions on several issues.
The association declined to participate in the meeting at George Mason University in Fairfax, Va.
The NRA's first tweet came as Arizona Sheriff Paul Babeu asked Obama how the executive actions he announced on Tuesday would have stopped the recent spate of mass shootings across the country:
