Reports President-elect Donald Trump had turned down daily intelligence briefings are concerning, former Defense Secretary Leon Panetta told Sunday's "Face the Nation."
"He's taken a few of them, but he's not getting them every day," Panetta told CBS host John Dickerson, according to The Hill.
". . . Every president I know, and I worked under nine presidents, every one has taken their intelligence daily brief because that sets the agenda for what you have to focus on as president of the United States."
Trump is informed, despite reports, Chief of Staff Reince Priebus told Dickerson earlier in the program.
"It's about every day," Priebus told "Face the Nation." "It's happening quite frequently, John. I think those are just going to ramp up as we get closer to Jan. 20.
"But he certainly is informed. He's getting briefed. And it feels like every day. I'm not sure if it is every day, but it's a lot. And that's who he is: It's someone who studies and someone who wants to be informed, and it's someone who asks a lot of questions and listens."
