Hillary Clinton is leading Donald Trump in five battleground states, according to Public Policy Polling survey released Thursday.
The Democratic presidential candidate is ahead of Republican rival in Colorado, Florida, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Virginia.
The breakdown:
Colorado:
- Clinton: 51 percent;
- Trump: 44 percent.
Florida:
- Clinton: 48 percent;
- Trump: 45 percent.
North Carolina:
- Clinton: 49 percent;
- Trump: 45 percent.
Pennsylvania:
- Clinton: 49 percent;
- Trump: 44 percent.
Virginia:
Clinton: 49 percent;
Trump: 43 percent.
Clinton maintained her lead when Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson and Green Party candidate Jill Stein were added.
Colorado:
- Clinton: 46 percent;
- Trump: 40 percent;
- Johnson: 6 percent;
- Stein: 2 percent.
Florida:
- Clinton: 45 percent;
- Trump: 43 percent;
- Johnson: 3 percent;
- Stein: 1 percent.
North Carolina:
- Clinton: 44 percent;
- Trump: 42 percent;
- Johnson: 7 percent.
Pennsylvania:
- Clinton: 45 percent;
- Trump: 39 percent;
- Johnson: 6 percent;
- Stein: 2 percent.
Virginia:
- Clinton: 46 percent;
- Trump: 40 percent;
- Johnson: 7 percent;
- Stein: 1 percent.
Colorado, Pennsylvania, and Virginia are seen as important pathways to gain the 270 electoral votes needed to win the presidency. If the poll results hold up in the election, "Donald Trump has no path to victory," according to the poll.
RealClearPolitics looked at other polls and found Clinton to be ahead nationwide by 3 points.
