CNN/ORC Poll: Hillary Up 18 Points Over Sanders in SC

Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton is 18 points ahead of challenger Bernie Sanders in their race for the presidential primary, with most of the former secretary of state's support coming from women and African Americans, according to a new CNN/ORC survey.

Here are the results, released Tuesday, of the survey of 1,006 voters in the Palmetto State, conducted between Wednesday and Monday:
  • Clinton: 56 percent.
  • Sanders: 38 percent.
Among black voters:
  • Clinton: 65 percent.
  • Sanders: 28 percent.
Among whites:
  • Sanders: 54 percent.
  • Clinton: 40 percent.
Among women:
  • Clinton: 60 percent.
  • Sanders: 33 percent.
Among men:
  • Clinton: 45 percent.
  • Sanders: 45 percent.
South Carolina holds its Democratic primary on Feb. 27.

The CNN/ORC poll has a margin of error of 3 percent.
