Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton are deadlocked in a statistical tie in New Hampshire, according to the latest University of Massachusetts poll.
The results among registered voters:
- Trump: 43 percent.
- Clinton: 42 percent.
- Libertarian Gary Johnson: 7 percent.
- Unsure: 4 percent.
Trump's 1-point lead falls within the 3.8 percent margin of error, according to the poll.
Clinton owned a 6-point lead over Trump with likely voters on Oct. 13, according to the poll. Though Clinton lost just 1 point in the latest poll among likely voters, Trump gained 5 points by siphoning support from Johnson, whose support dropped by 4 points.
Significant is that 10 percent of registered independents are undecided about who they will vote for, according to the poll. Clinton has a 2-point lead over Trump with independents who say they've decided.
