Donald Trump's "getting stronger" according to Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus, leading to "tougher" races coming closer.
"Almost every battleground state that you would talk about that is important to Donald Trump is a battleground state that is important to our chances of holding the Senate," Priebus said in an interview on Fox News' "America's Newsroom." "These two conversations can't be divorced from each other."
Fox anchor Martha MacCallum then asked Priebus about an ad the National Republican Congressional Committee is running that praises Rep. Bob Dold, R-Ill., for not supporting Trump.
"The play for independence is always going to come into play," the chairman said.
"Dold is an independent voice who stood up to Donald Trump months ago," the narrator of the ad says, followed by a clip of Dold saying on CNN, "I think Donald Trump has disqualified himself."

Priebus was also asked if he's worried about his party losing control of the Senate.
"Well look, I mean, you worry about everything," Priebus said.
The chairman appeared in Berks County, Pa. on Thursday, where he said the GOP would continue to support Trump despite multiple setbacks, according to WFMZ-TV.
"Of course, I mean he's the nominee of our party, of course we're behind the nominee of our party. Part of our job is to support the nominee of our party."
