An MSNBC show is claiming Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus is telling staffers to "do what's best" for their careers in the wake of a leaked 2005 videotape that has shaken the campaign of Donald Trump.
The tweet generated a slew of sarcastic replies to the liberal cable news station's show, AM Joy, hosted by Joy-Ann Reid, including one poster who groused that Priebus seemed "more concerned about their careers than the monster he helped create."
The RNC chief was part of a tsunami of GOP criticism of Trump in the wake of the leaked hot-mic videotape that showed Trump making lewd remarks about women.
Priebus canceled Sunday appearances on both CBS News' "Face the Nation" and ABC News' "This Week" in the wake of the revelation, first posted by the Washington Post Friday night.
