The Republican presidential candidates attacked President Barack Obama and Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton early in Thursday's GOP main debate.
Texas Sen. Ted Cruz was first to jump on Obama for his handling of the 10 American sailors recently captured and released by Iran.
"I will tell you, it was heart-breaking, but the good news is the next commander-in-chief is standing on this stage," Cruz said.
"Barack Obama does not believe that America is a great global power. Barack Obama believes America is a arrogant global power that needs to be cut down to size," Florida Sen. Marco Rubio added.
New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie warned that electing Clinton would essentially give Obama a third term.
"I will not do that if I'm not nominee," Christie said. "She won't get within 10 miles of the White House."
"If she gets elected her first 100 days instead of setting agenda she might be going back and forth between the White House and the courthouse," former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush said.
