President Donald Trump's personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani will not cooperate with the U.S. House of Representatives impeachment investigation and cannot imagine anyone in the Trump administration would work with Democrats leading the inquiry, The Washington Post reported Tuesday.
Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., said Tuesday he would invite Giuliani to testify before his committee. The Post reported he is "very interested" in accepting the offer, but there were a lot of legal issues to consider.
Giuliani on Tuesday mocked a report House Democrats were considering extra measures to protect the identity of the whistleblower, including having the whistleblower testify at a remote location away from the exposure of Washington, D.C., and potentially obscuring the whistleblower's appearance and voice, according to the Post.
"We are now hearing if the whistleblower testifies, Congress will put them 'behind a screen' and distort their voice," Giuliani tweeted. "This is ludicrous! How hellbent are Dems in keeping the American public in the dark?"
