Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker is helping vice presidential candidate Mike Pence prepare for his debate next month the Democrat Tim Kaine, according to news reports.
Walker, who quit the primaries last September, is standing in as the Virginia governor, NBC News reports. The pair have so far completed one debate dry run.
Pence, who is Indiana's governor, and Kaine will face off on Oct. 4 at Longwood University in Farmville, Va.
Sources told NBC that Pence and Walker have known each other for some time — and the Badger State governor is longtime friends with Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus.
Pence's other debate preparations including studying police materials, watching previous vice presidential debates and examining Kaine's public interviews and speeches, NBC reports.
