After Donald Trump dropped out of the Fox News Republican presidential primary debate set for Thursday, Texas Sen. Ted Cruz challenged him to a one-on-one debate.

Wednesday night, Cruz told an Iowa crowd he has reserved a venue and time: Western Iowa Tech Community College in Sioux City at 8 p.m. Saturday, The Wall Street Journal reports.

Meanwhile, a pro-Cruz super PAC has promised to donate $1.5 million to veterans charities if Trump shows up. Trump's alternative event is set to help veterans charities.

If Trump doesn't show up? Cruz already has a campaign rally set for the site, reports Siouxlandnews.com.
