IBD/TIPP Poll: Trump Up 2 Points

Donald Trump has pulled ahead of Hillary Clinton by 2 points in the race for the White House, the IBD/IPP presidential tracking poll showed Monday.

The final IBD pre-election poll shows Trump retaking the largest lead in the 20 days of this survey of 1,026 likely voters.

The breakdown:

  • Donald Trump: 43 percent.
  • Hillary Clinton: 41 percent.
  • Gary Johnson: 6 percent.
  • Jill Stein: 2 percent.

When respondents were asked to exclude the two third-party candidates, however, Clinton has a 1-point edge, with 43 percent versus Trump.s 42 percent.

The poll, with results based on the last four days of polling, has a margin of error of plus or minus 3.1 percentage points.
