Texas Sen. Ted Cruz responded on Twitter Sunday to his "friend" Donald Trump calling him "a little bit of a maniac" for the way he tries to get things done in the Senate.

Cruz posted a tweet with a video of the song "Maniac" from the 1983 hit movie "Flashdance," which starred Jennifer Beals as an exotic dancer in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Michael Sembello's song includes the lyrics, "You work all your life, for that moment in time/It could come or pass you by/It's a push shove world/But there's always a chance/If the hunger stays the night."

Cruz just passed Trump as the leader in two recent Iowa polls, bringing the heretofore friendly treatment of each other to an end.
