Donald Trump Friday hit back at Republican presidential rival Jeb Bush after the former Florida governor slammed him Thursday as a "bully" with a "high volume" campaign that has "lots of talk, but nothing specific."
The front-runner said on Twitter:
Bush, who has fallen to fifth place in recent national polls, told
CNN Thursday that Trump was not "a serious candidate" and that "he would bring chaos to the presidency as he's done to the campaign."
The former governor strengthened his attacks on the billionaire in the past week, starting with Tuesday's fifth presidential debate in Las Vegas.
Bush also dismissed Russian President Vladimir Putin's praise of Trump. Putin called him "the absolute leader in the presidential race."
"I don't respect Vladimir Putin," Bush told CNN. "To get praise from Vladimir Putin is not going to help Donald Trump."
