Donald Trump told a town hall before a group of veterans that Russian President Vladimir Putin laughs when he looks at Hillary Clinton, Trump's Democratic rival for the White House.
"Hillary likes to play tough with Russia," Trump told the group in Virginia Beach, Va. "Putin looks at her and laughs. He laughs. Putin looks at Hillary Clinton and he smiles.
"Look how bad her decisions have been," Trump continued. "Russia didn't like ISIS any better than we do. Wouldn't it be nice if we got along with Russia?"
Clinton, as secretary of state, famously botched a "Reset Button" photo op with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov when a translation error put the word "Overcharge" on it.
Trump made the remarks after Clinton has been hammering him, saying he is too cozy with the Russian leader.
Trump "has generally parroted what is a Putin-Kremlin line," Clinton said Monday, according to USA Today.
