Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton are tied in the dead-red state of Utah, according to the Deseret News.

The results:

  • Trump: 26 percent;
  • Clinton: 26 percent;
  • Independent candidate Evan McMullin: 22 percent;
  • Libertarian nominee Gary Johnson: 14 percent.

The results are staggering since no Democrat has won the state since 1964. Further, Mitt Romney, albeit a Mormon, carried the state with 73 percent in 2012 over Barack Obama.

Utah's governor as well as congressional leaders, including Rep. Jason Chaffetz, have all called for Trump to resign his candidacy after an audiotape surfaced last weekend that recorded Trump's lewd comments about women.

The poll surveyed 500 likely Utah voters Oct. 10-11 and has a plus or minus 4.4 percent margin of error.
