Question: What doses of quercetin and curcumin do you recommend?

Dr. Blaylock's Answer:

I have received a lot of questions regarding the best dose and toxic doses of curcumin since writing an entire newsletter on the subject (August 2011). Fortunately, it’s very difficult for someone to reach a toxic dose of curcumin due to limitation of absorption. Studies using as much as 10,000 mg a day were found to be safe. In general, I suggest 500 to 1,000 mg taken three to four times a day. One of the newer studies available found that this dose gives the best results in preventing neurodegenerative disorders, such as Alzheimer’s disease.

Combining curcumin with quercetin is even better for preventing or treating cancer and preventing atherosclerosis. The dose of quercetin is 500 mg, three times a day, mixed with olive oil. For those who do not like the taste of olive oil, there are brands of curcumin that significantly increase absorption.
