How Can I Prevent Kidney Stones?

Question: I recently developed a kidney stone at age 64. Is there a supplement that might help prevent or treat kidney stones?

Dr. Blaylock's Answer:

Most kidney stones are formed from calcium oxalate. The best way to prevent them is to take 500 milligrams of magnesium twice a day. (The Jigsaw brand is slow-absorption and less likely to cause diarrhea).

Flavonoids from orange juice can also prevent stones from developing. One glass a day from either fresh oranges or low-sugar concentrate usually does the trick.
