George W. Bush has declined President Obama's invitation to an event Thursday at Ground Zero to mark the death of Osama bin Laden,
USA Today reports.
The former president's spokesman, David Sherzer, did not give a reason Bush won't attend, but told the newspaper Bush "has chosen in his post-presidency to remain largely out of the spotlight."
Sherzer added that Bush "continues to celebrate with all Americans this important victory in the war on terror."
