O'Reilly: Cindy McCain Should 'Slap' Beck

Fox News host Bill O’Reilly took colleague Glenn Beck to task Friday for his responses to a recent skin-cancer ad where Meghan McCain appeared bare shouldered, saying if he was her mother, Cindy McCain, he would “slap the hell out of you.”

Beck has been under attack for pretending to regurgitate in a segment on his radio show when Sen. John McCain’s daughter Meghan was mentioned. Upon hearing of Beck’s actions, Cindy McCain responded on Twitter: “I’m so glad Glenn Beck is leaving Fox: Enough vitriol and hate. Glenn, you are no rodeo clown. They are decent and nice. You aren’t.”

“If I was Cindy McCain, I’d slap the hell out of you,” O’Reilly said, later adding he would invite Cindy McCain to his offices and “I’ll let her beat the hell out of you.”

Beck replied: “Cindy McCain? Absolutely, absolutely — she is sticking up for her daughter,” adding as he turned to the camera as if addressing Cindy McCain: “You were right for what you said — if it was my daughter, I would do the same thing.”

Beck then tried to compare his actions to media defense of the rapper known as “Common” who was invited to a White House poetry reading Wednesday and has glorified cop killers in one of his songs.

“We’ve got somebody singing about killing cops and everybody runs to his defense,” Beck said. “I make vomit sounds when someone is disrobed . . .”

At which point he was interrupted by O’Reilly who noted he agreed that the rapper — whose real name is Lonnie Rashid Lynn Jr. — should not have been invited to the White House, but the two occurrences cannot be compared.

“I’m a bad, bad man,” Beck said, admitting it was a “juvenile bit,” but adding “I’ve had enough of Meghan McCain as much as she has had enough of me.”
