The last-minute budget deal worked out by Congress and President Barack Obama has left the American public angry but not speechless. When asked to describe their view of the budget negotiations, the words they came up with were variations on ridiculous, frustrating, stupid, bull and childish, a new Washington Post/Pew Research Center poll revealed.

Ridiculous lead the list of words used to describe the process with disgusting, frustrating, messy, and disappointing rounding out the top five.

Americans are also blaming everyone. Some 70 percent said Obama and congressional Republicans and Democrats share some of the blame.

Breaking it down, 80 percent blamed Republicans and Democrats while 72 percent blamed Obama, The Washington Post reported.

Among independents, 78 percent blamed Obama, 82 percent blamed Republicans and 87 percent blamed Democrats.

The group that got off the easiest was the tea party, with 64 percent blaming them. The poll was conducted Thursday through Sunday, the Post said.
