With about three weeks to go before the election, few pundits in Wisconsin — or in Washington, D.C. — are willing to predict whether the Republican considered for years to be "the most controversial governor in America" can pull off a third term.
The most recent Marquette Law School poll showed Gov. Scott Walker eking out a lead over liberal Democrat Tony Evers, Wisconsin's superintendent of public instruction, by 47 to 46 percent. But the latest RealClearPolitics poll average shows Evers leading by 3.6 percent.
