Russia's invasion of Ukraine is a direct consequence of America's current weakness. The American left is attempting to gaslight the world by denying this direct correlation. The next foreign policy domino is the possible pending advance of China on Taiwan. There is no high political science here.

Under President Joe Biden, America has rapidly declined economically and militarily. Liberals have shelved their goal of world peace in favor of keeping the agenda of a self-serving deep state ahead. The current Russian war on Ukraine could have been avoided with good American leadership.

In Russian President Vladimir Putin's mind, the conflict dates back to the breakup of the former Union of Soviet Socialist Republics. Upon gaining independence from the Soviet Union in 1991, Ukraine inherited as many as 3,000 nuclear weapons. Ukraine's nuclear arsenal became the third-largest in the world.

In 1994, Ukraine agreed to dispose of all its nuclear weapons in exchange for a promise. The United States of America vowed to guarantee Ukraine's territorial integrity from Russia. America's commitment was known as the Budapest Memorandum. In 2014, President Barack Obama and his Vice President Joe Biden broke this promise.

When Donald Trump entered the White House, his administration honored the Budapest Memorandum. Trump threatened to "come into Moscow" if Putin acted on his watch. Trump's show of strength and unpredictability caused Putin to decide against testing him. Biden replaced Trump and continued the Obama abandonment of the Budapest Memorandum. Biden weakly dithered and Putin acted.

Breaking vows has been the Democrat way since Vietnam; it is their way. National security and honoring agreements take a back seat to the fictional crises of inequality, climate change, systemic racism and voter suppression. Due to inept leadership and misplaced priorities, America now faces heightened risks of international war.

The uncomfortable truth for American liberals was that Trump found a reasonable and successful middle ground between surrender and endless war. With his America First agenda, Trump successfully balanced our superpower strength with an overall non-interventionism. The proof of his success came from the Trump wars. There were none.

Just as Ronald Reagan won the Cold War without firing a shot and brought down the Berlin Wall, Trump's bulldozer personality strengthened our economy and protected the peace.

Yet pointing out Biden's failures or Trump's good works is labeled by liberals as pro-Putin propaganda. Trump was never Putin's collusion partner or his puppet. Trump effectively handled Putin.

The Democrat playbook is boring. Anyone supporting Trump's strength is smeared as a radical or racist.

The Obama-Biden Utopian is fiction. The real world has definitive evil players. Trump understood this and governed on the world stage successfully. Yet liberals would rather run our great American ship on the rocks than admit Trump did anything well. When Trump accurately criticized the untouchable mess created by Biden's weakness, leftists brought out the discredited Trump-Putin conspiracy link.

Trump's only tie to Russia was an intelligent one: As Sun Tzu said in "The Art of War,"  keep your friends close, and your enemies closer. In the game of international chess, Biden took the failed approach of taking American military force off the table. We would only sanction Russia, and even sanctions were delayed. Ukranian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that it was a 'pity' that U.S. support came "after Russian war began."

Leftists are generally angrier at the criticism of Biden than they are over Russia's invasion of Ukraine itself. They deny Trump's role in deterring Putin. They deny reality. Putin seized Crimea during the Obama-Biden reign of weakness. Putin did nothing during the Trump administration and returned to his warlike ways under Biden.

The president earned the moniker "Hidin' Biden" during the 2020 presidential campaign. On the foreign policy front, Biden remains in his Delaware basement hoping the problem will go away. His 37% approval rating is the reality check he keeps ignoring out of arrogance, stubbornness or cluelessness.

America can be strong and hidden, but not weak and hidden. Biden's weak leadership invites the problems that now knock on our door.

The Obama-Biden failure to honor our American obligations under the Budapest Memorandum was a colossal foreign policy failure. It was a prime example of weakness. Trump successfully honored the Budapest Memorandum with the threat of force against Moscow. America has more solutions at our fingertips than the liberals in charge are currently admitting.

Biden needs to lead. He needs to to make a tough international statement backed by the credible threat of force. This is vital for the protection of America's NATO allies, Ukraine, and world peace itself.

We must seek an immediate cessation of hostilities or threaten to honor our Budapest Memorandum agreement to protect Ukraine. The alternative is for Biden to stay the course and suffer another debacle in the endless string of Democrat surrenders from Vietnam to Benghazi to the deadly botched Afghanistan withdrawal.
