Will The Real Kamala Come Forward?

Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris has been conspicuously absent from access to press inquiries regarding compelling reasons why most informed voters would wish her to lead the country or free world based upon previous policies, priorities, and performance.

The Economy:

Although she seldom talks about rising inflation and costs of goods — groceries in particular — if you like big-spending socialism, you will love Kamala’s economic record.

As U.S. senator from 2017 to 2021, she had a more leftist voting record than even socialist Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt.

As vice president, she cast the tie-breaking votes on two highly inflationary bills: the $1.85 trillion American Rescue Plan Act of 2021, largely a COVID-19 relief which resulted in massive fraud, and the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act also passed in 2021 that included $7.5 billion to build 500,000 public EV charging stations across the U.S., which, as of April, only eight had been built.

A July Economist/YouGov Survey of registered voters showed that 72% rated the Biden-Harris economy as fair/poor.

The Fed’s Economic Well-Being of U.S. Households report for 2023, which looks at American’s economic health across a variety of areas, including employment, income, banking and credit, housing, retirement planning, student loans, and childcare, found that inflation made the financial lives “worse” for 65% of U.S. households.

Energy Positions:

Rising oil and gas prices have major inflationary impacts along with imposing substantial personal and household gas pump pain.

Just before dropping out of her first 2019 presidential campaign bid to join President Joe Biden’s ticket, Kamala told a CNN town hall "there’s no question I’m in favor of banning fracking”… even, on private property, supporting a ban on any new oil and gas infrastructure from being built.

Now that presidential candidate Harris is hoping to win Pennsylvania, a major oil and gas swing state, that previous anti-fracking policy is apparently now off the table. Her campaign now claims, “Trump’s false claims about fracking bans are an obvious attempt to distract from his own plans to enrich oil and gas executives at the expense of the middle class.”

Kamala also favors a Biden-Harris EPA mandate requiring that 50% of all new car sales are electric by 2030 despite nearly half of all current EV owners indicating plans to switch back to petroleum vehicles at a time when manufacturers of those vehicles are losing money on each one produced.

Immigration:

Three and a half years and more than 10 million illegal crossings since a new Biden-Harris administration put Kamala in charge of the southern border the White House and several left-leaning media outlets are now attempting to disclaim that responsibility.

The number of unvetted migrants crossing that border has exploded since Biden immediately ended wall construction and rescinded 94 Trump executive border security actions including the former president’s Remain in Mexico policy which required asylum seekers to wait south of the border.

According to the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), migrant encounters have nearly tripled since 2019 under the Biden-Harris watch, and they have increased more than six-fold since 2018, to a number greater than the population of 36 individual states.

This dismal performance failure might have come as little surprise considering that in June of 2018, then Sen. Harris told MSNBC, "I think there’s no question that we’ve got to critically re-examine [Immigration and Customs Enforcement ] ICE and its role and the way that it is being administered and the work it is doing. ... And we need to probably think about starting from scratch."

During a November 2018 Senate confirmation hearing of Ronald Vitiello — who was President Trump’s nominee to lead the lead the agency Harris accusatorially asked him repeatedly if he was "aware of the perception" of a similarity between ICE and the Ku Klux Klan.

National Security:

While strongly backing no-win, no-exit military assistance to Ukraine, Vice President Harris has supported Biden appeasement policies with Iran to revive the failed Obama-era nuclear deal, while in the process releasing Trump sanctions allowing Tehran to finance its terror network proxies which have spread conflict throughout the Mideast.

Meanwhile, she, like Joe, has weakly equivocated about support for Israel in its war of survival against those proxies including responses to an egregiously abhorrent and unthinkably savage Oct. 7, 2023 Hamas atrocities which brutally killed an estimated 1,200 citizens.

Both have called upon the Israeli administration headed by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to agree to an "immediate" ceasefire at the Gaza strip and to be more sympathetic to the Palestinian cause while hasher on the Israeli government.

This message of weak Harris support for Israel was underscored when she disrespectfully snubbed attending Netanyahu’s July 25 joint session of Congress address, then following a private meeting, publicly criticized his failure to provide adequate humanitarian aid to Israel’s Gaza victims.

Days later, a brutal rocket strike on a soccer field along Israel’s northern border attributed to Iran’s Lebanese Hezbollah proxy killed at least 12 children, raising fears of a broader regional war.

Kamala should now be held accountable for either running on her senatorial and Biden-Harris administration policies and record or explaining how and why those positions have changed.

Will the real Kamala, if one truly exists, finally step forward and introduce herself?
