Newsmax alarmingly reported on Jan. 8 that for the second consecutive day more than 4,000 Americans died from COVID-19.
During a press conference that same day, President-elect Joe Biden solemnly declared that “we’ve had 4,000 [COVID] deaths yesterday.”
Thirdly, the Centers for Disease and Control’s “COVID Data Tracker” reported on Jan. 8 that America had suffered 4,180 fatalities during the last 24 hours.
However, the Atlantic Magazine’s COVID Tracker provides these very revealing daily fatality totals between Dec. 31, 2020 and Jan. 8, 2021:

Therefore, the average daily increase in deaths, between Jan. 5 and 8, is 3,812, compared to an average of 1,999 between Jan 1 and 4.
This extraordinarily suspicious 91% average increase could have resulted from the departments of health, in Democratic-controlled cities and states, unscrupulously underreporting their death tolls in the first four days of 2021, and then overreporting their totals in the second four days.
Indeed, my first Newsmax article about the COVID epidemic, on April 16, 2020, extensively documented that the departments of health of New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio and New York Andrew Cuomo, were repeatedly “fudging” their overlapping deaths totals.
Moreover, the unaudited 19,534 COVID deaths, recorded by the CDC’s “Data Tracker” between Jan. 1 and 8, are 2,436 more than the deadliest week, which ended on April 18, with 17,098 fatalities, as documented by the CDC’s gold-standard “Provisional Weekly Death Counts.”
Indeed, only four other times during the 53-week SARS-CoV-2 epidemic has the weekly “Provisional Death Totals” exceeded 14,000 weekly, or 2,000 daily:

The third incriminating evidence demonstrating the unreliability of the CDC’s “Data Tracker” is that the “Provisional Death Counts” reported 318,786 Americans died from COVID-19, as of Jan. 8, 2021, a colossal 45,243 fewer fatalities, than the 364,029 the “Data Tracker” widely disseminated that same day.
The CDC characterizes the “Provisional” data, which are compiled by the National Center for Health Statistics from official death certificates, as delivering the “most complete and accurate picture of lives lost to COVID-19.”
Currently, these grim authoritative statistics lag by three weeks and approximately 20,000 fatalities.
A fourth very suspicious aspect of the CDC’s “COVID Tracker” death tolls, for the week ending on Jan. 8, is that 7,407 of the 19,534 deaths, or 38%, were reported by the departments of health of just six states with Democratic governors and heavily populated cities with Democratic mayors:
State |
Deaths 1/1-1/8/21 |

Gavin Newsom |
Pennsylvania |
1,201 |

Andrew Cuomo |

A fifth piece of unimpeachable evidence is the inclusion of “probable” deaths, which were not confirmed by laboratory tests.
While this CDC “Tracker” website on Jan. 8, 2021 did not break-down the 364,029 deaths into separate totals for “confirmed” and “probable,” I calculated 21,864 “probable” deaths in 29 states, New York City and Puerto Rico.
The other 21 states, District of Columbia and six other U.S. Territories wisely do not report “probable” deaths. (All counties of New York State outside the NYC’s five do not report “probable” deaths.)
Not surprisingly, the usual suspects — three states with Democratic governors and New York City Democratic Mayor Bill de Blasio — have reported the highest number of “probable” deaths:
NYC: 4,838
New Jersey: 2,059
Illinois: 1,669
Connecticut: 1,191
Thus, a highly anomalous 9,757, or 45%, of these 21,864 “probable” deaths, tallied by the CDC, are from these four Democratic-monopolistic jurisdictions.
The CDC first recommended “probable” deaths on April 14, 2020, and two days later in Newsmax, I presciently predicted this unscientific classification could lead to the egregious overreporting of COVID deaths:
“In other words, anyone who died in New York City during the last month can now be reclassified as a coronavirus death.”
As I further emphasized in “De Blasio Is Fudging NY’s Virus Numbers,” the NYC Department of Health added 4,059 “probable” deaths, to the previous 6,840 “confirmed” deaths, a mind-boggling 59% increase in one day.
On June 1,2020, Connecticut’s Democratic Gov. Ned Lamont announced, for the first time, the state’s breakdown of COVID deaths into “confirmed” and “probable,” and “probable” deaths were 854 of 3,964 total fatalities, or 22%.
Similarly, during a press conference on June 25, 2020, NJ’s Democratic Gov. Phil Murphy announced for the first time “1,854 probable deaths,” or 12% of the state’s then 14,872 COVID fatalities.
Thirdly, the Atlantic’s COVID Tracking Project documents that Illinois, whose Democratic governor is J.B. Pritzker, first introduced “probable” deaths on June 8, 2020, tallying 178. While on Nov. 3, Election Day, Illinois only counted 283 “probable” deaths, this scientifically worthless designation had skyrocketed to “1,796 probable” deaths on Jan. 11, 2021.
A sixth piece of incriminating epidemiological evidence, which seriously undermines the sensationalistic claim that 4,000 Americans died from the SARS-CoV-2 virus on Jan. 7 and Jan 8, is the percentage of daily “Provisional” COVID deaths todeaths from all causes, during the epidemic’s deadliest weeks:
Deaths
Completed
Week Ending |
COVID |
All-Causes |
Percentage COVID
to All-Causes |
4/11 |
16,213 |
79,000 |
21% |
4/18 |
17,098 |
76,692 |
22% |
4/25 |
15,466 |
73,823 |
21% |
12/5 |
15,711 |
68,017 |
23% |
12/12 |
14,655 |
65,491 |
22% |
However, if we take the week ending on April 11, which had the highest all-causes deaths at 79,000, and divide this total by 7, we get 11,286 fatalities daily.
If we assume last Friday’s Newsmax article, the CDC “Data Tracker” and President-elect Biden are correct, that 4,000 deaths occurred on Jan. 8, the percentage of COVID deaths to deaths from all causes, using the epidemic’s deadliest week, would be a totally improbable 35%.
But the average death toll from all causes has not exceeded 10,000 a day, since the week ending on April 25, when it was 73,823, or 10,546 daily.
Finally, that 4,000 Americans were killed by the SARS-CoV-2 virus, on two consecutive days last week, is just the latest “Fake COVID Epidemiology,” disseminated by completely untrustworthy Democratic politicians, including, Mayor Bill de Blasio, NY Gov. Andrew Cuomo, New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy, Connecticut Gov. Ned Lamont, and Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker, and the governors and mayors of other dysfunctional Deep Blue states and cities.
